I’ve been playing around, taking pictures of objects and I like the look of this Logitech Wireless mouse.

I decided to give away the full-resolution image as a Stock Photo for you to use.

The photo is 2329 x 1814 at 180 dpi (roughly 13 in wide x 10 in tall)

12 Free High-Res Leather Textures

September 17th, 2009 Orkron 4 comments

I was surprised recently when I couldn’t find any hi-res leather textures for a project that I was working on. As a result, I got my hands on some actual leather hides and started photographing them. I wanted to share these with others who may also need leather textures for one reason or another. I have 12 leather textures available in high-res JPG format available in a ZIP file, after the jump.

Please enjoy!

Making of Twins

July 20th, 2009 Orkron 1 comment

This weekend I was playing around; I wanted to try some new ideas floating around in my head.

My daughter’s favorite movie (right now) is The Parent Trap (remake) with Lindsay Lohan (debut film). It was actually pretty hard explaining to my kid that Hallie and Annie are actually the same actress… So what better way to convince her than to make a twin out of an only-child?

This was actually a pretty easy setup; I took the first picture of her, taped the area and had her go change clothes. We then snapped the second picture and later I laid the two images on top of one another, then using the layer mask and the paintbrush I carefully masked one picture into the other.

Pretty fun experience actually. But now my kid thinks Mary-Kate and Ashley are the same ha!

Vectorizing my Boss

June 3rd, 2009 Orkron No comments

Yesterday I got to turn my boss into a cartoon; I do love my 9-5 sometimes haha! I spend a lot of my day mantaining our company blog and the “home” page was just the saddest thing ever! I wanted to brighten it up with a banner welcoming our employees to the site.

I told Susan what I wanted to do (with a “cartoon” version of her) for the banner and she loved the idea! So voila – it’s my boss in vector cartoon format!
