I was surprised recently when I couldn’t find any hi-res leather textures for a project that I was working on. As a result, I got my hands on some actual leather hides and started photographing them. I wanted to share these with others who may also need leather textures for one reason or another. I have 12 leather textures available in high-res JPG format available in a ZIP file, after the jump.

I thought it would be fun to create some wallpapers each week for Freebies here.  So the inaugural Freebie Wallpaper this week will be a couple abstract dark choices I’ve cooked up just this afternoon.

I made two of these in 1440 x 900 resolution – sorry it’s what I run so was being a little self-centered when I started these; the next ones I plan to have a good choice between sizes (1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, 1440 x 900).  I do have the second one available in 1280 x 1024 this week – and I promise to make the next ones in more standard formats.
