12 Free High-Res Leather Textures

September 17th, 2009 Orkron Leave a comment Go to comments

I was surprised recently when I couldn’t find any hi-res leather textures for a project that I was working on. As a result, I got my hands on some actual leather hides and started photographing them. I wanted to share these with others who may also need leather textures for one reason or another. I have 12 leather textures available in high-res JPG format available in a ZIP file, after the jump.

Please enjoy!

    Thanks a lot. You are a real life saver, whoever you are. I needed a leather tex for an album in 3dmax. Promise when I finish the project I’ll upload it to your site or send it to you for sharing with others. (I was looking around for a model for this project, but at a price tag of $ 60,00 in average, I decided to modeled myself.
    Ps: pardon my poor English, but it´s my second language

    @Fernando
    I’m very happy to hear these will help you with your project! I too am a 3d modeler (3dsmax is my strong skill set).

    I’d be happy to add your final render below the texture images as a showcase! Just Contact Me for instructions when you’re ready.

    Thanks for this. By the way, you don’t have to convert JPG images into ZIP files. JPEG images are already compressed and they don’t get any smaller when you zip them

    @KA
    I’m glad you like these!
    As far as the ZIP format, it’s formatted that way, not to compress the image, but to force it as a download rather than allowing the browser to load the image. Not all browsers handle large images the same, so in order to make the process simple I zipped the files.
    I had considered lumping ALL the textures in one zip file, but I like to keep track of which textures are the most popular.
    Thanks for visiting!
